The purpose is to implement a pilot program that utilizes school bus safety cameras to issue civil violations to individuals who fail to stop when a school bus is stopped and displays flashing lamps to take on or discharge school children. If this program is successful in helping to protect students, this may become a program that it utilized statewide.
