§ 2-15.
Fraud hot line. The Office of the Auditor General shall operate a toll-free telephone hot line for the public to report allegations of fraud in the executive branch of State government. The Office may conduct audits concerning alleged fraud and, in appropriate circumstances, may refer allegations of fraud to law enforcement authorities or other governmental entities with jurisdiction over the alleged fraud. The Office shall adopt rules for the implementation of this Section. (Source: P.A. 97-261, eff. 8-5-11.)
