§ 2953.11.
In cases of conviction of felony, except for aggravated murder or murder, if the defendant

the clerk of the court in which the entry is made suspending the sentence under the
seal of the court shall forthwith certify the suspension to the warden of the state
correctional institution, who shall deliver the defendant to the sheriff of the county
in which the defendant was convicted. The sheriff thereupon shall convey the defendant to the jail of the county in which
the defendant was convicted and keep the defendant in custody unless admitted to bail

the balance of the defendant's term of sentence. The supreme court in the order allowing the filing of an appeal may provide that
the defendant shall remain in the custody of the warden of the state correctional
