of a license to practice a branch of cosmetology, advanced license, instructor license,

or boutique services registration shall attest in the renewal application to the completion

of any applicable continuing education requirements established by rules adopted under section 4713.09 of the Revised Code . (B) The state cosmetology and barber board may waive, or extend the period for completing,

any continuing education requirement if a licensee or registrant applies to the board

and provides proof satisfactory to the board of being unable to complete the requirement

within the time allowed because of any of the following: (1) An emergency; (2) An unusual or prolonged illness; (3) Active duty service in any branch of the armed forces of the United States or a reserve

on a case-by-case basis.  Any required continuing education shall be completed by a date specified by the

board.  Every license or registration that has not been renewed in the timeframe specified

in section 4713.57 of the Revised Code and for which the continuing education requirement has not been waived or extended

shall be considered expired.
