§ 4955.24.
A person or company owning or operating a railroad that fails to comply with the requirements
of or violates section 4955.23 of the Revised Code , for each day during the continuance of such failure or violation, shall forfeit
to such city one hundred dollars, to be recovered in a civil action in the city's
name against the owner or operator of such railroad, or both, as the city elects. Like recovery may be had for subsequent failures and violations.
