§ 5517.08.

(A) As used in this section, “ start date ” means one of the following, as applicable: (1) The date that the department of transportation will advertise for competitive bids

related to the chip sealing or fog sealing of an asphalt surface on a state highway

project; (2) The date that the department will begin chip sealing or fog sealing an asphalt surface

on a state highway project through force account in accordance with division (A)(1)(e) of section 5517.021 of the Revised Code . (B) Not less than thirty days prior to the start date of a chip sealing or fog sealing

project, the director of transportation shall notify the appropriate board of county

commissioners or board of township trustees of the sealing project.
